Dreaming of a White Christmas?

on December 19, 2011

Snow is practically synonymous with Christmas. It's the topic of several holiday jingles, is on almost all greeting cards and probably plays some role in every single Christmas movie. But come Christmas Day, just how much of the US can expect to actually experience the fabled White Christmas?

According to the National Climactic Data Center--which defines a White Christmas as having at least an inch of snow come Christmas Day--it doesn't look like much of the US has a good chance of waking up to snow. Sadly, that includes both our Seattle and San Mateo homes.

Do you expect to have a White Christmas? If so, please send pictures, so we can live vicariously through you.
