Billings Middle School (Seattle, WA) tech guru Jac de Haan used Tableau to visualize survey results of middle school students. Apparently they're texting like mad:
In the 6th grade, 17 of 25 students have cell phones. By the 8th grade every student has one. According to the survey, of the students with phones, more than half are texting.
Not to sound old, but in my day "texting" only meant a lower score on an English paper for using a word that didn't exist. Text us towards a better tomorrow, Billings Middle School students.
