The Global Editors Network (GEN) announced the winners of the 2013 Data Journalism Awards on June 20th at the GEN News Summit in Paris (read the full press release here). Seven winners and one honorable mention were chosen out of the 72 nominees that were selected from the 300+ total entrants to this year's contest. The eight overall winners hail from five different countries on four different continents.
