It's time for another Tableau Viz Contest! Do you want to go head-to-head with Ryan Sleeper, our Elite 8 Champion, and one other yet unnamed viz superstar in the Iron Viz Competition at TCC13? Then you need to fire up Tableau Public and get to visualizing some civic data!

We want you to use Tableau Public to visualize data about your community: civic engagement, political participation, volunteering, education, well-being or anything related to your community, whether that means your neighborhood, city, country, or the whole world. You can find a collection of civic data resources on our contest page.

For this contest, we are partnering with the The Civic Data Challenge, who has provided some fantastic datasets on civic health in the United States. If you are a US resident and you use the Civic Data Challenge datasets for this contest, please consider submitting your viz to the Civic Data Challenge, as well! If you aren't in the US, our Tableau contest is open to residents of the UK, Canada, France, and Germany, and we've rounded up other datasets you can use on our contest page.

Submissions for the Civic Data Viz Contest will be accepted through Monday, June 24th. Our winner will be announced on June 28th. The winner will receive a roundtrip flight and three-night stay in Washington DC to attend TCC13 and compete in the Iron Viz competition. Additional prizes will be selected for our crowd-favorite (as determined by YOUR Twitter votes) and the best student entry. For more information, check out our contest page and our contest FAQs. We can't wait to see your entries! Good luck!
