Important notice to ensure the security of your Tableau Public account:

In response to the Heartbleed OpenSSL security vulnerability announced on April 7, we’ve released new versions of Tableau Public to ensure the security of your account. Please take a moment to review these instructions:

If you are using Tableau Public 8.1, you can upgrade for free here:
Tableau Desktop Public Edition 8.1.6: 32-bit | 64-bit

If you have a license to use Tableau Desktop 8.1, you can upgrade for free here:
Tableau Desktop 8.1.6: 32-bit | 64-bit

If you are using Tableau Desktop 8.0.x or Tableau Desktop Public Edition 8.0.x or earlier, you are not impacted by this vulnerability and you don’t need to upgrade your software.

As a precaution, we’d also recommend that you reset your Tableau Public account password using this online form.

Thank you for your understanding. Your security is of utmost importance to us. You can find our more on our corporate blog and this knowledge base article.
